Dental Crowns and Bridges
Dental Crowns and Bridges are cemented prosthetic dental devices. It is a replicated teeth to cover badly broken down teeth or root canal treated teeth to encover and strengthen it.
Dental crowns are used to cover one broken, cracked tooth while a dental bridge is used to replace one or more teeth using two or more abutments. It functions like a bridge in such a way that it needs support on opposite sides.
Unlike dentures, these are cemented restorations. This can last a very long time if done properly and if oral hygiene is maintained.
There are different kind of materials to use. This ranges from metals, porcelain fused to metal, porcelain fused to gold, goldand zirconia crowns.
